Just want to clarify the timing on the upcoming press conference for the new CT legislation. This date was set by Representative Bartlett. We did ask that it be after Dr. Jones hearing date (so we could invite everyone in person) and suggested timing it for the anniversary of the 2004 Hearing. We encourage everyone to make attending Dr. Jones hearing their first priority. Monday will be a long awaited opportunity to announce positive steps and thank these representatives in person. We'll see everyone in Farmington tomorrow.

Jennifer Reid, Karen Gaudian and Maggie Shaw

Please join us at a just submitted for the 2007 Connecticut session. State representatives Jason Bartlett and William Tong will be outlining their two bills for the media and they need strong support from the Lyme community. We can't let them down. These bills deal directly with the reinstatement of laboratory reporting of Lyme cases (Bill #5747) and call for the establishment of a statewide Lyme Disease Task Force (Bill #6701). We have waited patiently for the DPH to respond to our concerns expressed at the January 29, 2004 "Perspectives on Lyme Disease" hearing. Mark this three year anniversary by supporting these representatives ready to fight for Lyme patients in Connecticut -- let's pack the house!
