Hi---I am new here and glad I actually found a place where people understand what I deal with! I have had chronic Lyme for over three years now, and my tests always come back negative, so I have given up on getting tested. I am currently dealing with "aseptic meningitis" and am absolutely MISERABLE. My M.D. had me try three different antibiotics "just in case" it was bacterial, and the only one that worked was Doxycycline. He swore that wouldn't do anything! I took it for two weeks because I had extra---problem was, after I got off it, the headaches and stiff neck CAME BACK again and I am fed up. I am trying to manage it naturally because I'm not insured for this, and after four appointments in a month, I am fed up with doctors as well as broke. If I go back again I will have to get a spinal tap and I'm really not up for that. I know I don't need one of those anyway. I am pretty sure it's the Lyme but I don't feel like dealing with the embarrassment of getting another negative test. I just want to manage this so I can start feeling human again. Any advice would be welcomed! And I'm sorry for all the complaining.

Hi New to this Site:
I am new also and can sympathize with what you're going through. I estimate that I've had Lyme for about 10 years. I was living in a heavily tick-infested area and had bites every day, but didn't think much about it. Then, rather suddenly, my eyes went bad. I got extreme dry eye with scratchy lids, quite painful. For ten years I went from Dr to Dr -- even went to the Duke Univ. Eye Clinic -- and all they said was that I had Blepharitis and there was nothing to be done about it. I finally gave up and just lived with eye drops all the time and cold compresses.Developed dry mouth syndrome also. It really cut down on my life -- couldn't read as much or watch TV or drive long distances. Gradually other symptoms began, but I sort of discounted them ... pains in my knees that would jump around, brain fog, extreme fatigue, etc. all the classic symptoms (but I was not aware that they were). I would think I had maybe this immune disease or other, but then the symptoms would jump around.
Finally, I was almost completely incapacitated. About all I could do was lie on the sofa and listen to the radio.

Then my boyfriend was diagnosed with Lyme. That let me to consider that I might have it too. His Dr. is a Naturapath. First he had us do the Gum Mastic protocol to knock out the H. Pylori bacteria we were infested with. That helped a lot.( Ulcers or Acid Reflux is a dead giveawy of H. Pyori in your system). Then my BF did colloidal silver, and I started on Teasel for the Lyme. YOU CANNOT IMAGINE THE DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENTS !! I feel like I've been brought back from the edge of disintigration and death. I cannot recommend Teasel highly enough.

If you think you have Lyme, you can make a clinical assessment, rather than trying to depend on unreliable tests.. It you have a number of the symptoms, try the natural protocols. It CANT HURT. And they are relatively cheap, compared to antibiotic treatment. Here's info on where to get teasel root tincture:
