I have had lyme for about 3 years. I did get on good antibiotics after a year. Then after taking them for 4 months I developed severe upper left GI spasms-pain. I stopped all antibiotics and tried to reintroduce periodically but my stomach couldn't take it. No one seems to know what it is. The antibiotics did help - it stopped me from continuing to get worse. But I am still left with severe migraines 24X7 and severe joint pain.I would like to try antibiotics again but I have to figure out my stomach. Anyone ever had or heard of this?

I have always reacted badly to antibiotics because my immune system can't fight off yeast/fungal infections. Since antibiotics kill ALL bacteria, they also kill the GOOD bacteria in the gut that protects us from these infections.
I have taken every new anti-fungal as new ones became available since 1980 when I started with a very good environmental illness doc.
It is well known by many of us, as well as by most medical personnel, that antibiotics have this effect.
They just haven't put together the necessity of giving antifungals WITH antiboitics.
There are several natural products such as garlic supplements, that help control the fungal infections.
Unfortunately, the dosages and type of anti-fungals that doctors prescribe are worthless: they are outdated, are given in tiny doses that accomplish nothing...
Needless to say, this is my personal opinion and experience.
You might look into it tho'.
(Rifing for fungus/yeast as well)

Just my opinion === if anyone has gastro distress, or ulcers, or acid reflux, it is a dead give-away that they are infested with H. Pylori bacteria. (Google it)

The way to kill off these nasty little devils is to take Gum Mastic capsules, at least one bottle's worth. For real thoroughness, one can take Methyl B-12 at the same time to deal with the almost inevitable B-12 deficiency, and L-Glutamine to rebuild the damaged stomach lining.

THEN, when the person has this well underway, bring on the Teasel Root Extract to combat Lymes Disease.

I've done all this, and believe me, it is WONDERFUL to have my health back!

Good Luck to all,

Lou2

Look into the GAPS Diet and the Body Ecology Diet. They have helped me tremendously with GI problems.
