Greetings! I am gald that I have found this forum. I have plenty of fellow sufferers in my area, but they don't tend to think outside the conventional doctor route. It is good to see folks trying different things. Bryan- Your book (top 10) is wonderful. I keep it nearby and reread it when I am not foggy. This is time #2 for me. I was diagnosed with Lyme when I had a EM last summer. I took the 21 days abx and was okay(I thought) except for some body aches and exhaustion that I thought was due to age. I found many ticks on myself and family this spring. After one in late May I got really sick with what semed like the flu.Within days I had a bunch of neuro symptoms. Dr. Clueless has tested and retested. I took the abx which seemed to hold it down for the duration. I have decided to go it with alternative methods. I have three family members with it too. My question- I have been able to find very little on this, but I was wondering if anyone had some references or knowledge regarding contamination of milk and meat. It stands to reason that if it is transferred via breastmilk then it would also happen for a cow. In my research I have been unable to find the kill temp for spirochetes. I know pasteurization occurs between 145 and 160. I am actually more concerned about dairy products than meat because of the temperatures used in cooking meat. There isn't much out there except one little blip of info from Univ. Wisc. everything else I read seems to be opinion.
Take care of yourselves. Patrice

Hi Patrice,
It is assumed that the adult stomach acids kill the spirochetes. Some say that babies don't have this capablity. I believe Dr. Jones has stated he believes babies can get it though breastmilk. But for adults, there seems to be little concern about adults getting lyme though milk and meat. I would say that it is a none issue for adults.
Take care, Rich (skiweasel7)

Rich, Thanks for the reply. I wondered if the temps of pasteurization wouldn't take care of that anyway. Patrice
