This is my first time on this lyme community forum.
I am writing with a very, very unique question. I don't know if anyone has thoughts on this, but I would at least like to know where to start looking for answers.
* It's about time now to start a family. I have been treated on/off for about five years with all different sorts of antibiotics. But I understand that there may be risks of an infected pregnant woman passing lyme (or any TBI) to the fetus via the placenta. HERE'S MY QUESTION: What if the woman with lyme (and possible babesia) donated her egg to a 'surrogate carrier' to deliver?? That means that the woman carrying the baby does NOT have any type of lyme (or coinfection) nor would she be genetically related to the baby. Could lyme (and/or co- infections) be transmitted to the egg or surrogate?
ANY info or thoughts would be so greatly appreciated!
