Has anyone been using an ionic foot bath while detoxing? At Rife Conference 2006 it was said that this is very important. Would like to know if anyone has used one and what were the results? Thanks.

Hi Elah,

I find that the footbaths do help with detoxing and herxes. I bought one to use at home, because it is too hard to get out and the cost adds up. I did not get the original Ion Cleanse, because they are too expensive!

I have not used it yet, but if I like it, will be able to make them available to other Lymies for a lot less than the others.

Hi Sherri,

Would be interested in knowing more about the foot bath. Used one time and did feel better for the next 2-3 days. I See all the warnings about using copper for the power unit but a electricial engineer who builds small, DC frequency generators for me said that all stainless steel produced in this country (which is the alternate source of the power unit)is radioactive inb small amounts as the steel has been reprocessed from metal that has been contaminated in its prior use. So wondering what a person is to believe.

Nancy and Willo,

I am so sorry I never got back with you about this! I have not checked this thread. Ionic Foot baths claim to pull toxins out of the body through the feet.

I read some studies done by a doctor who tested the water before an after. He even tested patients' blood before and after. I actually talked to him on the phone. He uses Ionic Cleanse Units which are about $1800+. There are others available now for much less. You can read more about several affordable units here: http://www.HealthyLivingStuff4u.com/ionicfootcleanse.htm

I have used them before and it really did feel like gunk was coming out of my feet and legs especially. I know lots of people who swear by them.

Hi, I am new to this site, my first time posting. I have an ionic foot bath, I purchased it due to the cost of $35.00 a session. I purchased it for $520.00; it really does work -- it pulls out whatever toxins are built up in your body. Since I take alot of medication esp. pain med.'s my liver is extremely toxic. You can tell what it is pulling out by the color the water turns. After the session you should drink alot of water in replace the fluids that are lost by removing the toxins and it is important only to do a foot bath every three days. I will say that it has helped me tremendous in the area of removing toxins and it also helps with herxs. My doctor wanted to try a one time injection a recephin to see if I could handle it, ( my LLMD wants me to do IV recephin for one month. It took 24 hrs. for my body to metabolize the antibiotic and I had one of the worse herxs in my life. She wanted me to go to the ER; but I know better than that. I just got out my foot bath and it removed the toxins and the antibiotic, I felt much better after that session. I also utilize the infrared sauna which has helped me a great deal. Just two months ago I was hospitalized for extreme weight loss due to constant vomiting ( I lost 50 lbs in 2-3 months, all my organs were shutting down. My doctor was convinced that I had cancer; after seeing 5 different specialists the outcome was NO I don't have cancer but they didn't know what I had. I even saw the head a infectious disease, he said if I had lyme disease-it was cured three years ago when I took a cocktail of antibiotics for 8 months. I knew that I could never change this mind on this subject. All those antibiotics did 3 years ago was kill the 3 co-infections that I had. My hands were completely numb, I has a nerve conductive study and was told that I had severe carpal tunnel disease and needed surgery on both my hands. I am happy to report that after many treatments with the sauna, I have started to build up my body again. I use many holistic modalities and they have greatly improved my health. My hands are slowly coming back, the numbness are almost gone. I hope that this helps anybody out there thinking about using the ionic foot bath and even the infrared sauna.

Hi LymeLady,

I was wondering if you ran your ionic foot bath with no feet. If so, what differences do you see?

I'm interested in this, but doubters say that what you are seeing in the water the metal rust similar to a corroded battery. So I'm not sure what to think. A sales man told me the water will turn yellow with no feet. But the orange and scummy foam I saw in the water is toxins from my feet.

Also, what is the deal with some units costing almost $2k and some for $300 (look on e-bay). Is there a difference?

A big test that would be useful is to see how the water looks after using it for a month or more. It should be lighter the less toxic you are. Then have a friend try it (with the same unit in the water). The water should look dark and scummy again.

Thanks for the post. The more positive stories I hear about the Ionic Foot bath, the more I want to buy one.

Thanks and take care,
Rich (skiweasel7)

Rich,

I had the same question about running it with no feet. The unit I purchased will not run without feet in the water. It has something to do with grounding. However, the girl I used to get the foot baths with has done this with hers. Depending on where you live, you will have minerals in your water that are a bit different in color. Where we live, it is pretty orange. She ran it without feet and it turned a light to medium orange. Yet, there was no sludge or green or black or anthing as there was with the feet.

I also talked to a doctor who works for Ion Cleanse, the leading company. He showed me pictures of water with and without feet. He has also tested the water for minerals with and without feet. There was a huge difference.

Their units are definitely the best and safest, with the strongest arrays. However, I am hearing again and again that people are getting great results from the cheaper units (depending on which one you buy, of course). I am sure we would all love to buy the best, but people would have to decide for themselves.

You can see a several at http://www.HealthyLivingStuff4U.com/ionicfootcleanse.htm I bought the more expensive one, but there are cheaper ones there. They have the Viatek for only $289.

Hi LymeLady 913!

I sent you a private message. Just wondered if you could msg me privately about which model you have of the Ion Foot Bath. Do you have a photo of it or name?

Thank you!

Hi Everyone,
I just spoke on the phone with a gentleman who teaches IRT classes. He highly suggested the Viatek Ionic Foot Bath for around $300.00. He said that it definately helps to cleanse the Lymphatic System. He said that after using it once, the water was like orangish black sludge each time he used it, then after about 12 weeks the water ran clear and he thought, "Oh, this machine is broken!" Then his wife asked if she could use it and when she did the water turned an oragish-black with black sludge and dark specks in it. So, I'm thinking this does work, so I ordered one. After it gets here & I use it, I'll let you guys know how it works.

Hi Lisa,

Let us know if you do the same kind of test. Hopefully you'll see great results. For $300, I may do some testing myself. I'll use it for 12 weeks while having someone else just use it once before 12 weeks and once after.

Take care,
Rich (skiweasel7)

This store has the unit I bought, as well as the Viatek for a only $289. Healthy Living STUFF4U http://www.healthylivingstuff4u.com/ionicfootcleanse.htm

The one I bought was a little less than $500. Good to know people are using this less expensive one and getting good results!

Healthy Living STUFF4U also has some great infrared saunas. I have the 1 person one. They also have vitamins, supplements and natural bath & body and cleaning products at really low prices.

Thanks so much for this information about that foot bath, Lisa!

I stumbled across this thread while researching the efficacy of ionic foot baths. My ex-wife runs a small health food store in a small town and she offers this treatment with membership

She explained to me how can rid the body of toxins and after trying one, I was intrigued by the display of "toxins" which seemed to flow from my feet. Personally, I felt no better or worse than I had thirty minutes previously.

My opinion is that if something makes you feel better, then it has some value.

However, my ex spent well over $1000 for her unit, and in the past has poured her money into various multi-level marketing schemes. So, I researched the subject. There are a lot of people selling these machines. Oodles.

After sorting through countless sales pitches, I found this link...
http://www.raygirvan.co.uk/apoth/2004_05_01_arc.html , and then followed many of the links from that page.

Enlightening, to say the least.

I mean no disrespect to anyone reading this post, and I wish everyone the best of health.

Lisa,

Where did you go? How is the Ionic Foot Bath? What do you think of IRT? How is the Salt/C? Have you done rife or Collidal Silver yet? I figure you should have something to report back with. I'm curious how things are going. I hope all is well.

Thanks and take care,
Rich (skiweasel7)

Well, I bought the "Viatek Ionic Energizer Body Cleanse Detox Foot Spa" on e-bay for about $200 (after shipping). My first test was to run the system with feet in and with feet out. The water changed the same darkness of rusty orange with or without feet. So if it is detoxing, what we see in the water is not evidence of it.

Based on this and no other evidence of toxins being in the water from ionic foot bath manufactures, I believe the ionic foot bath is just producing rust in the water and probably does not detox. I'm just glad I only spent $200 and not $2000!

I will note, I use detox foot pads and a big believer in them (I think I posted my experience somewhere). It was this that led me to believe that there might be something with the ionic bath. But if there is, someone needs to come up with some proof.

Take care all,
Rich (skiweasel7)

I think 2-3 times a week. But I am skeptical about the one I bought. Therefore, I'm skeptical about all ionic baths. I used mine once, and since the water looked the same with or without feet, I see no evidence that it is doing anything at all. Maybe the more expensive ones have more to it.???

Hi Sherri,

I buy my foot detox pads here (e-bay). You can e-mail them and make a custom order (like 60 Blues and 40 Golds). They will give you the 100 pc price (about $.88 each)

http://stores.ebay.com/Health-Marvels-Detox-Patches-Pads

Hope you see the same results that I get.

Just for fun, have someone else try the pads the first day you try yours. Continue to wear them for 30 straight nights (or until they become light and less goopy) and have the other not use them on those other days. Then on day 30 (or so), both try them. Hopefully you will find that your pads are lighter than the other person? I think the gold pads are best for seeing the darkness difference. Anyhow...it’s just a test. I wish I did that in the beginning.

Take care,
Rich (skiweasel7)

Ionic foot bath is an electrical device to detoxify your body through the pores of your feet. It is a process combines electrolysis and ionized water treatment. As it is an electrical device you should be well aware of some precautionary tips to prevent your body from any unwanted accidents.

If you are going through a treatment and tacking any medicinal course, consult your doctor before trying Ionic bath yourself. These baths can interfere with the medications you are tacking for epilepsy, heartbeat regulation and psychotic episodes.

You are also advised to drink a lot of water and hydrate your body. Avoid wearing any metal like watch or jewelry piece and also avoid the use of a cell phone or computer like device. Using an electrical device during your bath may disrupt the detoxification process and can lead you to an irritating electrical reaction.
