Hi Everyone,
I'm Lisa, from Colorado Springs. I'm originally from California & I've probably had Lyme since I was a kid. Growing up, I spent as much time hiking, camping or fishing with my family & friends as I could. I was falsely diagnosed for years & then 2 years ago an LLMD made a correct diagnosis. I was on IV Anti-Biotics for a year, with no significant improvement, so now I am working on rebuilding my immune system as well as using the salt/c protocol, transfer factors, PCA-rx, vitamins, minerals, herbs and rife machine therapy. I am glad for this forum and the support I have found here.
I have 2 wonderful sons & a terriffic husband who mean the world to me. They have been so supportive and so wonderful to me always but especially during this illness.
I am a Vocalist & an Author and my first book The Sister Song is due out this Winter. To all I wish good health & blessings!
To Life!
Lisa

How kind of you to say so. I was just crying & complaining last week because I was feeling so ugly because of Lyme- but this week my head is clearer and my thought processes aren't so self centered- (Thank God!) lol!
Yes, my sponsored child Maria gives me so much hope and joy! She is just so grateful for every little thing- bless her heart. She teaches me so much, and yes, Lyme has caused such financial hardship for me,as is the truth for so many. I had to leave my job which I loved at Hewlett Packard. And we all know SSI pays so little!
But then, over the course of a year, I'd spend about 15-20 minutes daily at my PC and something told me "Write". So I thought, if my Maria can be strong in her circumstances and find meaning and joy and gratefulness, then I can write. So, amazingly enough a book came forth out of this.
So many of these children don't even know what a toy or a present is. To them having a lolly or an apple is a luxury. So yes, I have given up my weekly starbucks and in a month I have enough for my dear Maria. When my book is finished being published and is for sale, 10% of all the proceeds will go to help orphaned and impoverished children like Maria and your sponsored child. I can't wait until I can sponsor more children- they are so incredibly precious.
Yes, Willo, I will let you know how I am progressing. I'm sending a hug.
Your friend,
Lisa
PS Your home & family sound so lovely!
