I bought Dr. Sherry Rogers' book, Detoxify or Die. In Chapter 5 she talks about detoxing with an Infrared Sauna. Dr. Larry Wilson and Dr. Mercola talk about infrared saunas, too.
I became interested in this when I watched a friend get 98% well from Lyme. Of course, she is doing lots of other things too, but she told me that everyone she knows who has gotten better from Lyme is using FIR Saunas .
I am one of those people who just doesn't let go of the toxins the way a person should. When I take detox supplements, I feel worse, because the toxins just float around and get reabsorbed. Same with treating the Lyme and Herxheimers. I think the die-off reinfects me, so I get horrific reactions that don't resolve.
After 11 years of trying Rife for years at a time, I had to stop, because the Herxheimers were unbearable and not resolving or diminishing at all. I don't know how others would respond, but for me, I was finally able to resume my Rife Machine when I use my FIR Sauna! It really seems to help my body to flush those die-offs.
If anyone is interested in Dr. Rogers' book or saunas, there is some good information at: http://www.HealthyLivingSTUFF4U.com/detox.htm
Blessings to all my Lymie friends!
Sherri
PS)I know there have been questions in the past on this board about a sauna pushing the Lyme deeper. I and several others were asking this for months last year and I saw more asking it early this year. But I never saw any answers as to this being a problem. I only saw people reporting good results. Maybe we can share more here!

I have never experienced an infrared sauna, but have done woodstove fired heated saunas with steam for years. Only recently been diagnosed with Lyme's, but for many years experienced extreme boost in sense of well being after saunas, also after hot yoga, or anything else that makes me sweat a lot, like really hard physical work in the heat.
What's this about sauna's "driving Lyme's deeper"? is this only potentially attributed to the FIR saunas? or also heat and steam saunas in general?
