I got this message in one of my Lyme egroups today:

For those of you who knew our friend, "Dr. Ted," he has passed on, on July 11, 2007, from tickborne diseases.

For more information, see
http://www.wildernetwork.org/teddymemorial/index.html

I do not yet have any address where notes of condolence can be sent.

To quote the website referenceced above,

"In lieu of flowers:

Teddy would be pleased if you'd keep and enjoy any flowers intended for him, as well as a wee nip of your favorite spirit in a toast to his memory."

Dr. Ted was a fabulous gentleman and you can read more about him at the above website. He was a wonderful writer whose books are listed on Amazon, and who donated the profits to Lyme causes. He suffered terribly, as do many, from tickborne diseases and attempted to do what he could to further the causes and cures associated with them.

He was an advisor to Bowen Institute, who among other efforts, have been researching identification of Borrelia burgdorferi (Bb) with enumeration and quantification by flow cytometry.

If you wish to contribute to them in Dr. Ted's memory, information on Bowen Research Institute in Florida can be found at: http://www.bowen.org/NewSite/index.html
