I am getting my pic line put in soon and want to know if you can get it wet if you wear a protective covering (that aqua sock thing).

There is a sleeve available to cover PICC lines for showering.. I'm not sure about swimming, though.. I was always told stay out of the pool.

I had a pic line and got the sleeve. The nurse said I definitely could not swim. The doctor said it depended on how adhesive my skin was. I found that it still got wet in the bath, though I could have had it on loosely that day and not been careful about making sure both ends were tight. It was too awkward for swimming I decided.
