Hi Everyone!
I have been a member of the Rife group for a couple of years. I have had Lyme for 30 and have been disabled by it for 16. I used to sing and dance in musicals, work multiple jobs, lift weights and ride my horse. I have 3 college degrees and was starting my Master's when my body completely shut down. Now I struggle just to shower or go to a doctor's appointment.
I have tried antibiotics, nutrition, IV's, rife, alternative medicine and on and on. Believe me, I had tried all the Mannatech, Reliv, Noni, Juice Plus, etc. Not to say those are not helping other people, but they did nothing for me.
A friend of mine had tried all those things too. She had been sick from Lyme for 3 years. Yet, she tried something new and now has her life back. I decided to research it and try it. Honestly, this stuff makes total sense. The science behind it is amazing. Anyhow, I have had some bouts of a better sense of well-being (lifting of fog and light at the end of the tunnel) and ease of secondary issues (ankle injury, etc).
Having had Lyme for 30 years, I have no idea if I will ever get well enough to function normally. I have sustained a ton of neurological damage and struggle with paralysis from the damage to my spinal cord and brain. Yet, I can say that nothing else before has even given me a glimmer hope. Even though I have had so many friends getting better around me, because they have not had Lyme or Lupus or whatever for so long, I will take whatever I can get at this point. So, I will keep trying it.
If anyone is interested, they can look under this Lyme Communty Forum Section called, Supportive Supplements > Acai Berry from the Brazilian Amazon for more information.
Well, that is my life in a nutshell. Thank you to those who have provided this valuable support group and accurate information about Lyme Disease! I hope you all find ways to not only survive, but to thrive! It is a long battle with this organism!
Blessings My Friends,
Sherri

Honestly, glycos + rife + salt/c seem like one of the most efficient protocols.
I am about to add rife to my glycos and salt/c.
I am wondering are you having trouble killing the bugs? Or is it the nerve damage you are trying to repair?
The lyme protocol for glycos is a ton of stuff! very expensive... however it has helped me some, but has taken a loooong time. It has not fixed everything though...
i just recently started salt c and hopefully will be doing rife soon. Apparently this all takes years and years of dutifully doing these things. ill do anything to get over the hump and get well.
I hope that whatever you are taking the benefits stick with you.

Midian,
Yes, I am dealing with permanent nerve, cell, organ and tissue damage from having Lyme for 30 years. I am also battling the fact that my immune system no longer views the spirochetes as intruders. They are also living inside my cells, spinal cord and brain. Thus, I have tried over $200,000 worth of alternative medicine, without any relief.
I can't take vitamin C nor salt, because it increases my nerve pain. This is very unusual I am told. I cannot eat citrus fruits, bananas, tomatoes, vinegar, salt, caffeine or chocolate either. The nerve pain flares up to an unbearable wave of shooting, searing, unfathumable pain every few seconds for weeks on end. Also, I went on the glycos (ambrotose) for a couple of years. It never did anything for me, but make me more fatigued. Everyone is different.
That is why I started researching the Pure Acai , which is high in antioxidants, antibacterials and more. This one is organic, freeze-dried and has no added sugar, artificial sweeteners, water, fillers, etc. Dr. Alexander Schauss is the research scientist who discovered the Acai Berry. It has amazing medicinal properties.
I am not well by any means, but this is the only thing in 16 years that has given me bouts of relief and better sense of well-being. I would love to have my life back, but at this point I will take what I can get and be thankful for every little blessing!
I hope you find something to help you over the hump!
Sherri

Hi Sherry, Thank you for sharing your story. Mine is quite similar. I used to ride horses when I was younger, sing, dance...I even directed a children's theater team. I used to swim, workout, run, but then...Lyme. With Lyme came Lupus and a lung disorder. I havn't performed vocally in over a year. I miss it! I did write a book though, even in the throws of dramatic brain fog. I think it was truly a gift from above that I even had the presence of mind to write. Anyway- I wanted just to say- please know that you are not alone. I appreciate & admire your courage and perseverance. Your new Lymie Pal, Lisa

Hi Lisa!
I just checked this thread and found your post!
I know! I haven't sung in several years. It was several years before that. I am going nuts!
Thank you SO much for your encouraging post! Congratulations on your book! You are very courageous, too!
Blessings my friend,
Sherri

Hi Evelyne,
People have gotten better from ALS with lyme treatment. (see link below) http://www.canlyme.com/gazette_martz_2006.html
I also had another link about a cop with ALS and "advanced lyme". The link no longer works as I think the paper took the story off.
It is thought by some that ALS is the end stage of lyme disease. http://www.ctlymedisease.org/conference1.htm
There is an open study that is treating ALS patients with the antibiotic Ceftriaxone. Although they are not targeting lyme, this is something to keep an eye on. If patients see improvement, one can argue that the antibiotic help kill the Bb. http://www.mda.org/research/view_ctrial.aspx?id=164
Take care, Rich (skiweasel7)
